London Mums Blog is a parenting blog for local mums, by local mums.
It is made up of a network of mums who live in, work in or just plain love London.
It is full of practical parenting information, from healthy suggestions for packed lunches to what to do with the children on term breaks. There lots of unpratical stuff there too. And rants. Oh, and did we mention opinions? We are never short of those.
Dads – we’re not trying to leave you out. If you want some insight as to what the heck the mother of your child gets up to during the day and why she hurls the baby at you as soon as you walk in the door and then blurts something about getting your own damn dinner, continue on.
And if you're a stay-at-home dad, come on in, you'll get a sympathetic ear...
About the founding contributors: Susanna Scott
Susanna has three girls -- all born within a three-year time span. When people hear this their eyes usually widen and say something like “you must be busy!" She has been a working mum and a stay-at-home mum, with some variations in between. After a career in journalism and marketing, she took three years off to reflect on how the heck she went from charging around Europe to charging around the play park. She recently re-entered the workforce, and is pleased that she hasn’t lost as many brain cells as she feared.
Charlene
Charlene has four school-age children. She is a chauffer, a critic and short order cook. She is in constant amazement about why, even with a fulltime nanny, she doesn’t have time to answer her email. In a previous life she was a tax accountant with one of the Big Four, at least she thinks that was why she took the train into London each day. The sheer logistics of getting the kids to school and 16 activities per week keeps her on her toes.

Didn’t go down too well when they discovered the mum taxi isn’t on standby anytime, anyplace, anymore.
