No elephants at a zoo, that is scandalous. Every moderate to large zoo should have one.

When my dd was young her favorite animal was a Tapir - don't ask. Luckily, the Los Angeles Zoo actually had a couple. Not sure I would have driven much farther to find one.

Elephants are majestic creatures. It's sad to see them all zooed up, I think.

I wouldnt know what to do with no elephants at the Zoo! That is proposterous! Elephants are a necessity at the zoo

Wow, no elephants?? That's just not right! Although now that I think about it, I'm sitting here trying to think if our little local zoo has them or not. We didn't even make it there this year - I'd so wanted to try to get to one of the larger ones instead, but it just didn't happen. I guess there's always next summer. :)

We did see elephants at the circus recently, but somehow that's just not the same though.

Yes - I went there recently and they've moved all the large animals out to Whipsnade. They still have a pair of small pygmy hippo, a couple of giraffes and a few gorrilas and tigers, but otherwise it's mainly the smaller animals.
